Are the items authentic?
Most definitely. All items are guaranteed 100% authentic, we stake our reputation on it.
Are the items new?
The items are either new, or in as new condition. We have high standards when it comes to hiring out our items and will only send if it is excellent condition. Of course vintage items have been pre-loved, and will come with some unique characteristics that you won’t find on a new item.
Why should I borrow instead of buy?
Many of us buy handbags or accessories to go with a new dress for a special occasion and throw it away in the closet never to be seen again. With Bag an Image you can hire a handbag or accessory for your special occasion, then return it when you’re finished with it.

Do I have to become a member?
Yes. When you hire an item from Bag and Image you will automatically receive FREE Lifetime Membership*. No on-going commitments, no regular charges to your credit card you had forgotten about, no minimum monthly rental expectations.

What do I get as a member?
You’ll receive regular emails with promotions, new products and other relevant news items. You also receive access to any new products before they go on hire to the general public. Promotions and discounts will be offered throughout the year.
Can I cancel my membership?
Certainly. Contact us at enquiries@baganimage.com.au and we will unsubscribe you from database.
How long can I have the item/s for?
Simply select the dates you require the item for on the calendar, and you’ll receive the items on that date. For example, for a 5 day hire you can select to start the hire period from Thursday and it will finish on Monday. The 5 days are inclusive, so if you select the above days you will receive your item sometime on the Thursday and it will need to be returned on the Monday. alternatively you can select to receive your items on a Friday and return them on Tuesday, for a 5 day hire. If you decide you would like to keep the items longer, give us a call on 1300 368 7886 and we’ll see what we can arrange. Of course this will depend on previous bookings so may not always be possible.
Can I hire more than one item?
Of course. However we do ask that a maximum of two handbags are hired at any one time and a maximum of three items at any one time. Contact us on 1300 368 7886 or at enquiries@baganimage.com if you have any special requests.
Can I purchase any items?
We understand how easy it is to fall in love, however at this stage we are not currently selling stock. We will keep you updated via our regular emails when this changes. As always, members will get first priority if any items become available for sale.
What if something happens to the item?
If something happens we request you contact us immediately. Please do not try to clean or make any repairs yourself, we have experts who can handle this. Depending on the situation you maybe charged a repair or replacement fee, however please contact us and we will work out the best way to handle the situation. Whilst accidents happen, we request you treat the items with the utmost care and respect they deserve while they are in your possession. Normal wear and tear is expected, we will contact you if we believe this is more significant than expected.
Do you have insurance?
Unfortunately insurance is not yet available in Australia for hiring these types of unique items. Therefore the responsibility for lost, stolen, and damaged items passes to the individual hiring the items upon signature of receipt of the goods.
When will I get my item?
Your item will be shipped to you via courier or Australia Post and arrive on the first day of your booking. To allow you to get your parcel on time please book your item at least 48 hours before you require the item to ensure it can be delivered on-time, courier deliveries are generally over night however this cannot be guaranteed. The package will require a signature upon receipt, so you will need to be home on the day – or provide an address where someone will be available to sign for the package.
When do I return my item?
You will need to arrange a pick-up time with the courier or deliver to a Post Office on the last day of your delivery, depending on how your items were received. Instructions are included with the initial delivery.
Who pays for shipping?
You will be charged a $19.95 flat fee when you make your initial booking for the items, this covers shipping to you via courier or Australia Post, packaging, and will include a pre-paid satchel for you to return the items in.
When will I be charged for hire?
Your credit card will be charged for the hire upon booking the items, this is to ensure you receive the items on the day you select them for.
Do you accept cash, cheques or direct deposits?
At this stage we only accept Visa and Mastercard.
Is making a payment over the internet safe?
Absolutely. We use a third party for our payment channel who guarantee their services are backed by the most stringent security measures available, we do not see any of your payment details at any time, they are passed on directly to the bank through our security provider. These details are encrypted at all times. Our website has an SQL certificate ensuring your membership details, which is the only information we keep, are safe.
Can I cancel my booking?
If you need to cancel your hire for some reason please contact us on 1300 368 7886 or at enquiries@baganimage.com to discuss your options. Generally we do not cancel bookings, however in special circumstances we can arrange this. There will be a minimum 20% cancellation fee to cover administration costs, and up to 50% if less than three days notice is given. If the items have already been shipped we cannot offer a refund. Overnight delivery cannot be guaranteed, therefore if your item does not turn up on time we do not offer a refund, we will of course extend your hire period by the number of days it was late in arriving. Unfortunately late deliveries are beyond our control, please book at least 2 days before you require the item and you should receive it on time.

Certainly. Go to our Gift Certificate page, follow the steps to purchase on-line, and we will do the rest.
What currency are the prices in?
All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars ($AUD).
